Category Leader - Produce is responsible for product direction as it relates to matching product offerings to market needs. This includes providing direction and assistance to product teams regarding marketing strategies, initiatives, and branding, working closely with the Sales Leadership team to ensure their needs are met and marketing plans have delivered results, and ensuring the success of customer events and activities. This role is responsible for managing the department’s profitability in support of the Company’s strategic plan towards the achievement of established sales and profit goals. Responsibilities will include providing leadership and coaching to staff modeling GFS’ cornerstone values, providing flawless service to our customers, and maintaining exceptional employee relations.
